Raising Awareness
Labrador Welfare is a small charity so has a small pool of potential donors compared to the big national charities. You can help raise awareness by telling people about the charity and Limpylabmax
Follow on Social Media
You can follow on social media and share posts with your friends. The more followers the more people are aware of what the charity does.
Not only potential donors but potential adopters.

You can also encourage others to follow.
Take Part in Events
All our fundraising events are free to take part. Donations are optional from those who wish to and can afford to do so. Please do take part all entries help promote the event and raise awareness of the charity's work
Flash events are our short term fundraising events lasting a day to commemorate sporting events, red letter days.

We aim to run a main event each month. This is usually themed to the month such as March for Max and our celebration of June. some of these events will be annual.

LIMPYLABMAX is a completely separate third party fundraising campaign to support Labrador Welfare. The charity has its own fundraising activities and we encourage you to get involved directly with the charity.

This is what LIMPYLABMAX is
Simply put it is where a supporters work to raise funds for a charity independently of the charity
AVOID Poaching Support
If a charities supporters give to your event they may feel they have already done their bit so might not spurt the charities own fundraisers. You wouldn’t then be raising new or additional funds

You can avoid this by building your own network and by fundraising from your own friends and family who would otherwise not be supporting the charity.

Similarly avoid holding events similar to the ones the charity hold themselves or at the same time as they are holding an event.

In our enthusiasm to help our we can easily overlook that if not done properly Third Party Fundraising can be counter productive for a charity

DONT Be a Burden on time and resources
The charity has very limited staff resorted its run entirely by a few unpaid volunteers. They certainly won’t have time to get involved in your fundraising activity and if they did they may be much better off spending ther time on their own work
So stay separate, be different and be independent to ensure your efforts help not hinder

Labrador Welfare have their own fundraising events but they are very encouraging to members and supporters who want to go a bit further and
To do their own thing .

The charity love to hear about your fundraisers and are always on hand to give a little advice and support.
Despite Labrador Welfare’s encouragement, running your own fundraiser can be scary. You can feel isolated & unsure. Are you allowed ? Am I helping of getting in the way? Do you need approvals Do you need permission?

In the end most potential fundraisers fall at these hurdles insecurity put us off doing anything no matter how much we want to.
That’s why joining forces with other fundraisers can give you the help and confidence you need
From the outset Operation Max was conceived as a platform not just for us but for other independent fundraisers doing their own thing.
We invite fellow Labrador Welfare (& would be fundraisers) to work with Limpylabmax
The Charity's supporters can, if they wish, join in with our campaign, use its branding to help along their own activities we simply offer some help and resources to make things easier and to help publicise and boost your efforts.
The members forum for you to be able to share experiences bounce ideas off each other and hone your event.

Requirements For You To Link With LIMPYLABMAX
TO LINK UP WITH LIMPYLABMAX YOU WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS

Free to Enter
Our supporters are more important than any individual donation thay may make. ALL lIMPYLABMAX events other than auctions must be FREE TO ENTER. Donations must always optional for those who are able to and wish to donate. Donation levels may be sugested but the donor must be free to choose a larger or smaller amount.

Independence
Your Event must be truly independent Third Party Fundraising only works where it raises funds outside the charity's own suporter base.
Do make the charity aware of what you are doing but do not ask or expect them to promote your event to their supporters. Do not create a time or administrative burden on the charity's already hard pressed staff. Do No use the charities branding without express permission Commercial tie-ins and discount schemes can not be included

Legal
Your fundraiser must of course be not for profit, legal and hand you must demonstrate posession of any permits and licenses required by law. In adition it must conform to the rules terms and conditions of any host or donation platform and the PayPal Giving Fund
Make sure you read the terms and condition to make sure you don’t fall foul of the rules.
Lotteries, draws, raffles and prize competitions all have laws and specific rules you must follow

Suitable, Apropriate
& Compatible
Although your event is entirely Independent Of Labrador Welfare itself it must comparable with and appropriate to the aim and ethos of the charity.
